Again...the B1G has almost no P5 intersectional rivalries.


So it needs to schedule them. This is why the ACC teams without a P5 intersectional rivalry - and the new quasi P5 schools like BYU - are showing up on B1G schedules.

The SEC teams without intersectional P5 rivalries will need to schedule them too, but most of them are in the west division and will schedule with Big 12 teams or will schedule single neutral field games rather home and homes - because they can and because it gives them a quasi-home field advantage in places like Dallas, New Orleans or Atlanta for neutral field game.
